Same-Day Emergency

Almost any dental injury can be treated and resolved at Life-Centered Dentistry.

Life Centered Family Dentistry offers same-day emergency dentistry. If you call us in the morning, we will be able to accommodate you at some point that day.

While we never want a dental emergency to happen, sometimes they occur, and usually when we least expect it. But what do you do when a dental emergency occurs? It’s important to know what constitutes an emergency and what to do when one does occur.

When you’re prepared ahead of time, you’re much less likely to panic, and you’ll know exactly what to do to make sure you get the treatment you need.

Am I Experiencing a Dental Emergency

In general, any dental problem that requires immediate treatment due to severe pain or to save a tooth is considered a dental emergency.

When you’re experiencing a dental emergency, your first thought might be to go to the emergency room. Unfortunately, ERs do not have dentists on call. At most, they will provide you with a pain reliever or some antibiotics. That may help your pain or an infection, but that won’t get to the root of the problem or fix your teeth.

That’s where emergency dentists come in. If you’re experiencing a dental emergency, we will see you the same day and get you back to feeling your best in no time.

What Qualifies as a Dental Emergency

Some of the dental issues that qualify as a dental emergency include:

      • Severe dental pain
      • Knocked-out teeth
      • Swollen or bleeding gums
      • Swollen jaw or mouth
      • Exposed nerve
      • Missing filling or broken crown with pain
      • Severe tooth fracture

When Should I See a Dentist

If you’re experiencing any of the dental problems mentioned above, you need to see an emergency dentist as soon as possible. Receiving treatment quickly can save a tooth and prevent future infection. A tooth can be saved if you receive treatment within an hour of it being knocked out.

This may seem easier said than done when you’re in pain, dealing with swelling, or missing a tooth, but staying calm can make a big difference. Almost any dental injury can be treated and resolved by your dentist. At Life-Centered Dentistry, we are here to help!
